Paradise Valley council adopts canvas of July 21, 2026 primary election

The Paradise Valley Town Council adopted Resolution 2026-12 to certify the canvas of the July 21, 2026 primary election.

Duncan Miller, presenting the official results, said "It was necessary to get, 1,449 votes in order to be elected at this election" and reported that all four council candidates received more than a majority. Miller identified the winners for council seats and said certificates of election will be issued to the successful candidates.

The mayor asked for any questions; none were raised. Council Member Pace moved to adopt the resolution and Council Member Thomason seconded; the council approved the canvas on a voice vote. Town staff noted no recount was necessary because margins between candidates exceeded the statutory threshold.

Town staff also highlighted procedural changes tied to a recent law: Miller explained an item labeled "ASRS 16,579" tracks early voters who verified signatures in person and noted countywide use of the process. Certificates of election for mayor and council will be prepared following the certification vote.
