Parade and entertainment lineup finalized; committee to honor late chief with memorial banner

Committee members finalized parade and entertainment logistics, including float registration procedures, saw‑horse signage, and stage placement for performers. The parade coordinator asked for two signs ("Float registration" and a separate "Float" sign) and saw horses to hold them so floats register in order and do not bypass the check‑in point.

Members discussed a memorial banner for the late Paul Gagnon. The committee agreed on banner text to appear during the parade and in the program: "in memory of Chief Paul Gagnon, Pembroke citizen of the year 2026." The family will carry the banner in the parade and the committee will place it on the main stage after the parade.

Entertainment sponsors were confirmed for several slots and the committee moved one performance zone from the gazebo to the fire station area to improve audience flow and crowding. Members also discussed logistics for hauling stage decorations and trash barrels back to the town warehouse after the event.
