OHV program to hire seasonal worker, form mechanized trail crew and launch safety outreach

OHV Program Manager Wade Allinson outlined operational steps to support trail maintenance and user safety. He said the program is hiring a seasonal worker to read trail counters along the Paiute ATV trail and will base a new mechanized trail crew in Richfield to repair fire-damaged trails on Monroe Mountain, Arapene and Paiute systems.

Allinson also described upcoming in-person side-by-side and motorcycle safety training courses — including a Carbon County class that will provide full‑face helmets — and a public-education campaign launching in March and April to clarify that unregistered e-motorcycles (for example, certain Sur‑ron models) are subject to OHV laws even when operated on city pavement.
