Ainsworth board forms Advocacy Committee to boost outreach and strategic-plan communication

Ainsworth Community Schools Board of Education met Aug. 3, 2026, for a board self-assessment work session and formed a new Advocacy Committee to strengthen outreach and support for the district strategic plan. President Brad Wilkins opened the session at 6:02 p.m.; the meeting included six board members and Superintendent Dale Hafer.

Board members reviewed NASB-provided self-assessment materials and identified "advocacy" as the primary area for development. The board "formed a committee on Advocacy to address the above goal," and volunteers were recorded: Bryan Doke, Jake Graff and Crystal Dailey will serve on the committee. The board also directed Superintendent Dale Hafer to contact Matt Belka, NASB Director of Marketing, Communications, and Advocacy, to explore partnership and support options for the committee and district communications.

The session included routine opening procedures, an Open Meetings Act posting announcement, and a public comment period during which no patrons were present. President Wilkins adjourned the retreat at 7:17 p.m.
