Keri Guinn, UCRP Education Officer, delivered an extensive caucus training at the Jan. 17 Central Committee meeting that laid out operational steps for precinct caucuses scheduled for March 17, 2026. Slides and discussion covered check-in and room setup, pre-registration and QR-code workflows, required materials and volunteer roles (check‑in, ballot counters, timekeeper, ushers), and the recommended sequence for nominations, speeches and voting.
The training detailed absentee ballot requirements (sealed envelope with signature and photocopy of ID), UOCAVA military/religious out‑of‑state ballot procedures (72‑hour state party request and email casting once verified), tie‑breaking procedures for elections, and reporting protocols for precinct chairs (sealed envelopes, tally sheets, photos/scans and submission to House District officers). The packet materials and a schedule of upcoming trainings and events (March 21 Central Committee meeting; March 27 Lincoln Day Dinner; April county and state conventions) were highlighted for precinct officers and volunteers to implement prior to caucus night.
