City of Hiawatha presents Villas of Beautiful Maples RHID; Brown County commissioners to submit questions

City of Hiawatha Administrator Brad Scott presented the proposed residential housing improvement district (RHID) for the Villas of Beautiful Maples during the Brown County Commissioners July 31 meeting. Several project representatives and residents were present; the commissioners said they would submit a list of questions before deciding on whether Brown County will participate in the RHID.

The commission did not vote on any RHID participation at the meeting. Chairman Lucas Heinen convened a work session at 3:05 p.m. the same day to further discuss a list of questions about the RHID; that work session, attended by Commissioners Richard Tesoriero and William Pollock and County Clerk Nicole Lee, adjourned at 3:38 p.m. The record shows no action taken and no final commitments from the county during the meeting or the subsequent work session.
