Town schedules spray-foam insulation and carpentry work at municipal facilities

The board reviewed progress on building work at town facilities. Chair (S1) said Terrigenesis will begin demo work the week of Aug. 17 and that spray-foam installation is planned for Thursday and Friday of that week. Committee members discussed sequencing: a carpenter (Matt Severson) will start Wednesday on exterior walls and the food shelf before spray-foam to ensure areas are accessible and prepared.

Members also discussed replacing upstairs windows, temporary removal of ceiling tiles to access rim joists, and ensuring the PFAS system installation can be accommodated; Chair (S1) said the work will likely require accessible openings and that additional projects such as removing a hanging ceiling could be deferred until a later date if needed. Committee members agreed to protect furnishings with plastic tarps during the work and to coordinate schedules with contractors to minimize disruption.
