Selectboard urges residents to complete housing survey ahead of planning commission review

Chair (S1) asked board members to promote a town housing survey and noted that as of the meeting there were 25 responses; the chair said Kyle will present results to the planning commission on Aug. 10 and that the board may extend the survey period if needed. Paper copies are available, and the administration will promote the survey via the town website, Facebook and the listserv to increase participation.

Committee member (S2) asked what information the survey seeks; Chair (S1) described the questions as focusing on what residents want West Fairlee to look like, whether housing is affordable, drivers of housing demand and preferred housing types. The board emphasized community input will help planning commission deliberations.
