Committee backs CivicPlus contract to modernize Palatine website and HR tools

Committee staff told members the project will replace aging back-end systems and deliver a modernized public-facing site and optional human-resources recruiting and onboarding tools. "We combined the two of them so that we could get a better price... and identified Civic Plus as our preferred vendor," the presenter said.

Staff noted the new platform will enable improved search for PDFs and code-of-ordinances content that the current site cannot handle. After questions about whether the code of ordinances will be searchable, staff confirmed the newer technology will support searchable copies of municipal documents. The committee approved the motion and the item will appear on the council consent agenda.
