Council committees OK preliminary/final plan for three-lot subdivision on S. Plum Grove Road

The Community and Economic Development Committee reviewed a request for preliminary and final planned development to permit a three-lot single-family subdivision at 724 South Plum Grove Road (District 2). Planning staff said the subdivision was approved in 2006 but the planned development lapsed; the current proposal reinstates the earlier approval with the same conditions, including a 15-foot side-yard setback on the east of Lot 1 and west of Lot 2 and a shared driveway for Lots 1 and 2.

Planning Commission and staff recommended approval; committee members noted the unusual "flag lot" configuration and said the village typically does not favor such lots, but accepted that the prior approved configuration supported the application. The committee voted to report the item to the council consent agenda for formal action.
