Council approves consent agenda of routine zoning, special-use and event items

The Village of Palatine's council approved 11 consent-agenda items May 2, encompassing committee reports, zoning special-use approvals, licensing actions and procedural items.

Committee chairs summarized business sent forward from standing committees; items included sidewalk-sale approval, Oktoberfest waivers, multiple special-use and zoning items (fence at 5 West Washington, setback relief at 620 South Stewart Lane, permanent dog-groomer special use at 134 W Northwest Highway) and Rockin' Rodizio's special-use amendment and liquor-license increase. The clerk conducted a roll-call vote; council members recorded 'aye' votes and the mayor also voted to approve the consent agenda.
