A sheriff's representative clarified that municipalities are billed for law‑enforcement services within their city limits and that state law‑enforcement grant funds flow through the county to offset municipal contract obligations; the representative further said, for the current year, grant funding exceeds the city's contract expenses. Commissioners requested that future reports include a clear delineation (e.g., dots or color) showing which incidents occurred inside Blue Lake city limits and that the sheriff send a representative to the next PSC meeting to explain common report codes and dispositions.
