Worth County board recesses to closed session under Iowa Code §21.5(1)(i)

Chairperson Enos Loberg recessed the Worth County Board of Supervisors at 9:03 a.m. and the board voted to go into closed session under Iowa Code Chapter 21.5(1)(i), "To evaluate the professional competency of an individual whose appointment, hiring, performance or discharge is being considered when necessary to prevent needless and irreparable injury to that individual’s reputation and that individual requests a closed session." The roll call recorded AYES from Mark Smeby, A.J. Stone and Enos Loberg.

The minutes record that the board closed the closed session at 9:24 a.m., reconvened the regular session at 9:24 a.m., and then adjourned. The minutes do not disclose the subject or outcome of the competency evaluation, consistent with Iowa law governing personnel closed sessions.
