Residents push parks upgrades, goat‑head removal and shade at pool

Several residents and Councilmember Geovona Thompson focused on park conditions and safety. Thompson said she has "been an advocate for trying to eliminate goat heads in our Town" and urged revitalizing upper and lower parks with plantings, seating and watering/irrigation or drought‑tolerant landscaping to make green spaces inviting.

Volunteer and public commenters suggested working with master gardeners and seeking donations from retailers for seed and materials rather than relying solely on irrigation; staff noted a pre‑emergent order for Leffingwell Park and advised ongoing maintenance would be necessary to prevent goat‑head reseeding.
