Q&A: attendees ask who is responsible and whether lawsuits are emerging

During the webinar's Q&A, attendees asked where responsibility should fall for mitigating bias—on model developers improving training pipelines or on users refining prompts. Gadeau said it is both: "All of us can mitigate that to some extent by being responsible prompting... but, yes, the responsibility certainly does also, real land in the lap of these AI models."

On litigation, an attendee asked whether there have been major bias lawsuits yet. Gadeau replied that there are many lawsuits against AI companies, mostly over hallucinations and claims about generated content, and that hiring‑related suits have occurred and some settled; he said he was "unaware of any about bias" specifically but that such cases would not be surprising. The exchange emphasized shared responsibility and the ongoing, complex legal environment.
