MPIC seeks more sewer data for Route 1 corridor planning

Pat Losik told the committee she has had additional discussions with Lee Arthur, Director of Rye Sewer, to gather foundational information about sewer-system constraints and capacities relevant to Route 1 corridor development. Losik noted there is documentation from a 2022 study concerning a Portsmouth sewer extension to the area and that the prior effort did not move forward.

MPIC members said more detailed sewer data are needed before land-use or development recommendations for the Route 1 corridor can advance. The group tasked Losik and staff to continue information gathering and to bring findings back to the committee for spreadsheet updates and public briefing ahead of October outreach events.
