MPIC will add budget columns to Action Items workbook but stay out of annual budget process

The committee discussed adding budget information to the Action Items workbook and reviewed two columns Steve Borne added as initial thoughts. Members agreed MPIC should limit its role to reporting and advocating for its own priorities rather than participating directly in the town’s annual budget process.

MPIC emphasized focusing on longer-term budget-planning implications — for example, identifying items that should be considered in the Capital Improvement Program — and agreed to revisit how to structure budget fields in the workbook at the next meeting.
