The South Country Central School District board approved the administration's personnel recommendations on the consent agenda, covering hires, resignations and assignments in schedules E1–E8.
When trustees asked whether all coaches for middle and high school sports were included on the list, a staff member said, "So it's my understanding that everyone who's needs to be on there is on there as of today," noting the athletic director had submitted the necessary paperwork. The chair acknowledged some coaches volunteer time before contracts are final but said the personnel process is the ordinary way to confirm positions.
Trustees also questioned a change from a 10-month to a 12-month school nurse position. Staff explained the middle school 12-month nurse resigned; the district offered the 12-month vacancy to interested 10-month nurses and an existing 10-month nurse accepted the 12-month post, while a newly hired nurse filled the 10-month role. Staff added pay differences are set in the CSCA contract and confirmed that a 12-month nurse is present through the summer calendar but not required to work on every break day.
A motion to approve the personnel slate was moved and seconded and the board completed the vote. No public questions were raised during the meeting's public Q&A.
