Council committee seeks $46,458.11 in Rebuild Illinois funds for Rolling Road rehab

Public works staff told an Infrastructure & Environment Committee that Rolling Road improvements between Peloton and Northwest Highway used Rebuild Illinois grant dollars and that additional qualifying expenses—specifically, more sidewalk removal and replacement—require a supplemental appropriation of $46,458.11 to access remaining grant funds.

"Additional qualifying expenses were encountered during the improvements. Specifically, more sidewalk was removed and replaced," staff said, asking the committee to approve a supplemental resolution to use available Rebuild Illinois dollars. The committee voted to forward the appropriation to the full council consent agenda; no public comment was offered during the committee discussion.

Staff framed the supplemental request as a procedural step needed to use additional grant dollars rather than as a new village cost. The committee approved placement on the consent agenda for full council action.
