Council approves consent agenda including zoning transfers, sidewalk easements and maintenance contract

Mayor Schwandt reconvened the council on May 7 and the council voted by roll call to approve items 1–12 of the consent agenda, with waiver of first reading.

The consent package included the Police Policy and Code Services Committee recommendations to transfer special-use approvals (including the sports complex at 615 S. Consumers Ave. and an indoor recreation facility at 553 E. Dundee Rd.), a transfer of a liquor-store special use at 305 S. Rolling Rd., acceptance of perpetual sidewalk easements in the Office Park of Palatine to complete the sidewalk network, and an award of the 2018 crack-sealing contract through the Municipal Partnership Initiative to realize cost savings versus separate bidding. The council's roll-call vote was recorded as the agenda passed.
