Council approves consent agenda including zoning, contracts and environmental cleanup

During the July 17 meeting the Palatine Village Council approved items 1–16 on its consent agenda by roll call. The consent agenda included land-use approvals (planned development amendment for Barb's Precious Rescue, several rezoning and subdivision approvals), an approved minor variation and easement to permit an existing shed at 1365 East Carpenter Drive, a four-year collective bargaining agreement with IUOE Local 150, a resolution supporting a Cook County 6(b) application for a vacant industrial property at 514–532 S. Hicks Road, and a change order for environmental remediation at 5 W. Palatine Road not to exceed $70,668.

The council recorded unanimous or majority 'aye' votes on the listed consent items. One notable separate council action outside consent voting: the motion to allow permanent storage of a 35-foot recreational vehicle at 1365 East Carpenter Drive failed in committee and on the council floor.
