Board selects Sloop as vice chair

Following the chair election, the board nominated and elected a vice chair. Director Fadel nominated Director Sloop for vice chair and several board members voiced support for Sloop's experience and time commitments.

"I would like to nominate, director Sloop for vice chair," a director said during the nominations. Members discussed the responsibilities of the role and noted Sloop's prior service as chair and capability to contribute in a leadership capacity. Staff called the roll and the vote was recorded as unanimous.

Board members said spreading leadership among directors allows more experience to be shared and prepares the board for future rotations of leadership.
