Several procedural items on the July 28 agenda concluded with routine action by the council.
An alcohol-beverage license application for Southside Touche (5495 Old National Highway, Suite B15) was moved and seconded and subsequently deferred to the Aug. 11, 2026 council meeting. "This item has been deferred till 08/11/2026," the mayor announced after the motion was approved by the council.
The council also adopted its consent agenda — including regular meeting minutes, work session minutes, alcohol zoning public hearing minutes and staff-recommended rezoning and special-use items — by unanimous consent. Staff noted several walk-on items and corrections that were added to the agenda before adoption.
What this means: Deferred items remain on the calendar for a future meeting; routine consent items were processed together to streamline the agenda and conserve meeting time.
