City proposes ambassador program, app and geocoded business listings to drive visitor traffic

City staff described a planned Carson Ambassador volunteer program, branded ambassador uniforms and a city app to promote businesses during the Carson Experience. Officials said ambassadors would direct visitors, hand out water and help with wayfinding; staff also described plans to geocode local businesses in a mobile listing to improve visitor discovery.

"Carson Ambassador, if any of you are interested in being a part of the Carson Ambassador Program, please sign up," staff said, describing volunteer roles and training. Staff added that the city will geocode businesses so visitors using the app can find services and that the city plans promotional programming and district-level activations throughout Carson.

Officials said some resources (such as presentations and registration links) would be shared after the meeting and offered consults with the economic development team to help businesses prepare.
