Residents urge kitchen restoration and ADA upgrades at Activity Center

Diane Hildebrant told the Council she would like to see the Activity Center kitchen restored and the building made fully accessible because the current ramp does not solve door accessibility.

"Getting the kitchen back in the Activity Center, and also making the Activity Center ADA compliant," Hildebrant said, adding that once the kitchen and accessibility issues are addressed, the center could host more programming. Town Manager Suzanne Harvey and SEAGO’s William Osborne discussed whether a modernization of the entire facility (doors, bathrooms, parking and kitchen) could be treated as a single project and whether SSP funding should be used first for engineering and design to prepare a shovel‑ready implementation application.
