Staff also noted program requirements for infrastructure grants—readiness items such as bid‑ready documents and independent cost estimates—and said the city engineer is working on an updated cost estimate for potential wastewater improvements. Council and members of the public offered ideas for other projects the city could include in an application; staff emphasized no formal adoption of a resolution was requested this evening because the application timeline was clarified only recently.

Adeline Jones, a resident who commented, called the news "good news" and urged the city to pursue both housing and wastewater plant improvements.
