Residents press council on missing minutes, tank leak and community events

Several residents addressed the council during public comment, raising record-keeping and local infrastructure concerns.

One commenter said she has not been paid for a 16-year lease related to a water-tank property and urged the city to shut off an inlet valve because she had observed water leaking into a fish-bearing stream. She told the council she had received a letter from the city attorney but said the factual concerns about the leak remain and urged faster resolution.

Another speaker flagged missing minutes for several past meetings (March 25; April 8 and 22; May 3 and 6; June 24 and 27; July 3) that were not posted to the city website and asked staff to transcribe videos so the minutes can be published. Staff responded that workshop meetings sometimes do not have minutes and outlined steps being taken to regenerate and post records.

A public-service announcement drew attention to the Blue Lake Museum arts-and-crafts holiday fair on Nov. 29 and encouraged local shopping.

Council acknowledged the public comments and directed staff to follow up on records and to take the comments into account in any related staff reports.
