Board meeting roundup: two hires approved; teachers start Monday

At a short Saturday session, the Blackford County Schools Board approved two administrative hires — Sarah Price as director of student services and Cole Bonawitt as junior–senior high assistant principal — and closed the meeting after brief announcements and public comment.

Both personnel items passed by voice vote recorded as 4–0. The superintendent thanked board members for meeting on a weekend and told attendees "Teachers start Monday. Thank you to the board, for coming in on this Saturday." The chair then asked for final comments and adjourned the meeting.
