Selectboard requests benefit‑cost analysis for Twinfield/Rapczynski property to reduce downstream sediment

During presentation of the flood scoping study consultants identified the Rapczynski/Twinfield property as a location where removing fill would let water spread, slow velocity, and allow wood and sediment to drop out before reaching the Winooski River.

The Selectboard asked that a benefit‑cost analysis be prepared for the Twinfield/Rapczynski site. The analysis will determine whether the project meets FEMA cost‑effectiveness thresholds and can be competitive for hazard mitigation funding. Consultants noted some projects may also have benefits for downstream towns.
