Winthrop board unanimously approves administrator two-year contracts after executive session

After meeting in executive session to discuss administrators’ goals, the Winthrop School Board returned to open session and voted unanimously to elect the named administrators to two‑year contracts covering 2026–2028. Chair entertained a motion and it was seconded; the board recorded the vote as unanimous and the Chair declared the motions carried.

The board also confirmed individual appointments (for example, Theresa Violet as Winthrop Grade School principal) as part of the set of administrator elections. A motion to enter executive session under 1 M.R.S.A. §405(6)(A) was made and seconded before the closed session; the board voted to enter and to exit the executive session with unanimous approval. The meeting adjourned at 7:39 p.m.
