The Gosper County Board of Commissioners on July 29 adopted Resolution 26-9, declaring two distress warrants uncollectible and ordering related personal property taxes for tax years 2023 and 2024 removed from the county treasurer’s records.
Treasurer Nicole Townsend and Sheriff Joshua Richie presented reports on the warrants and submitted the resolution for the board’s consideration. Chair Terry Lerdall moved to adopt Resolution 26-9; Commissioner Bruce Bader seconded. The board recorded votes of “Aye” from Lerdall, Bader and Glenn Hofman, and the motion carried.
The resolution identifies Warrant Nos. 23-002000 and 24-002197 as uncollectible and directs that the personal property taxes, together with any related interest and fees attributable to those pieces of personal property, be stricken from the Gosper County Treasurer’s records. The minutes do not list additional remedies or follow-up steps beyond the order to remove the amounts from county records.
County officials present at the vote included Chair Terry Lerdall, Commissioners Bruce Bader and Glenn Hofman, Treasurer Nicole Townsend and Sheriff Joshua Richie. The board’s next regular meeting is scheduled for August 12, 2026.
