Resident raises ADA-access concerns for Town Meeting site at Newbury Elementary

Resident Richard Roderick said the ADA access to the school building "does not follow the spirit of the law," citing occasions when the entrance is not open, the distance between that entrance and the gym, and a lack of ADA-designated parking. He asked for clarification because Town Meetings and elections are traditionally held at the school.

Chair Susan Culp responded that the entrance complies with legal requirements but the board heard the concern; the meeting later confirmed final logistical details for the March 3 Town Meeting. The board did not announce specific remedial steps at the special meeting but acknowledged accessibility is an issue raised by residents.
