Taloga board rehires Principal Kyle Stewart for 2026–2027 with 5% raise

The Taloga Board of Education voted to rehire Kyle Stewart as principal for the 2026–2027 school year and approved a 5% salary increase.

Doug Kilmer moved to approve the hiring; Ladena Birney seconded. The motion passed with votes recorded in favor by Ladena Birney, Justin Fox, Doug Kilmer and President Jerod Acre. The board had discussed the rehiring during an executive session called at 7:24 p.m. and reconvened at 7:41 p.m.; the board stated no votes were taken during the executive session itself and issued an executive compliance statement upon return.

The action formally appears as a board motion to appoint Kyle Stewart for the coming school year with a 5% raise in pay. The board adjourned at 7:43 p.m. after completing business.
