The Papillion Planning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval of the Dowd's Business Park preliminary plat (PP260007) on July 29. A commissioner moved to recommend the plat on grounds that it is consistent with the comprehensive plan, compatible with surrounding uses, and compliant with subdivision and zoning regulations; the motion passed 6-0.
Doug Kellner, speaking for the applicant and giving an address of 10836 Old Mill Road, said the proposal would "clean up some lots and add some remnant parcels together to combine it." No members of the public testified for or against the proposal during the public hearing.
During commission discussion, a commissioner asked about traffic and the lack of access to 150th Street and Highway 370, asking, "Are there any concerns about traffic with no access to 150 And 370 for future development of that area?" The applicant responded that access for the lots would be along Shepherd (a private drive) and that current zoning expects each lot to have access from Shepherd.
The commission closed the public hearing and recorded a 6-0 recommendation to approve PP260007.
