Commission reviews rezoning from PUD to SF-14.5 on Wilderness Road in Conway

County staff told commissioners that the parcel in question lies within the Highway 90 resolution area and was a portion of a previously adopted PUD that had no assigned uses, which led to denial of a subdivision plat submitted in 2023. The staff presentation said the applicant now seeks rezoning of approximately 3.28 acres from PUD to SF-14.5 to enable subdivision on Wilderness Road.

Commission members asked whether the parcel may be pulled from the PUD and staff replied that the determination allows that approach; the applicant's representative (Kate Weimer with G3 Engineering, noted by staff) was acknowledged. The commission discussed sequencing and planned to circle back to the item later in the session for any remaining questions.
