Warren County Fiscal Court voted to authorize the judge executive to execute related documents for a regional HUD ProHousing grant application that would include the county, the City of Bowling Green, ITA and the Chamber of Commerce.
Judge Executive Doug Gorman described the proposal as having the potential to "make a ginormous impact on housing, along with some workforce other items that we're working on." The court approved the authorization on a motion by Esquire Cummings and second by Esquire Aldridge, with roll-call affirmation from the magistrates present.
Court members said the application links to ongoing local efforts to address housing availability and workforce needs and thanked city partners who joined the meeting. The authorization gives the judge executive authority to execute necessary documents if the partnership proceeds to full application submission.
