District reports work to build college‑career‑civic readiness index; baseline still in development

The board heard a progress monitoring report on guardrail 1c — equitable exposure to college, career and civic readiness (CCR). Superintendent Rosser said the district’s CCR exposure index is still under development and that current outcome data show inconsistent access across schools and grade levels.

Rosser said the administration is recommending advancing an assistant principal to serve as acting executive director of college, career and civic readiness to help fast‑track baseline collection and implementation of pathways, cohort tracking, and credential opportunities such as CDOS and WorkKeys. He said the district will use a mix of district measurement and NYSED data and emphasized the need to expand career and technical education program options and earlier career interest surveys starting in middle school.

Trustees asked for a timeline for baseline data collection and for examples of systems the district will implement to reduce inequitable access; Rosser said baseline data are expected during the coming school year and that the new CCR lead will coordinate cross‑system work and community partnerships.
