Fine arts program adds Unified Art; band uniform replacement expected in 3–4 years

Jim Tallman presented the Fine Arts Department update, reporting that art added a Unified Art course and that the department has discussed Unified Music and Keyboard classes. Tallman noted staffing challenges following retirements (Lara Reem and Tallman’s own eventual retirement plans) and said the department is evaluating which class could replace Speech once new staff are hired.

Tallman told the committee the band uniforms are in their eighth or ninth year and he is thinking replacement will be needed in about 3–4 years. Dr. Beverlin asked about the timing; Tallman provided the year estimate during the discussion. No funding motion or action was recorded during the update.
