River Forest SD 90 board moves into closed session to discuss personnel

At a special Committee of the Whole meeting on Dec. 20, 2025, the River Forest SD 90 Board of Education approved the meeting agenda and then voted unanimously to move into closed session to consider personnel matters.

“It was moved by Mr. Cottese and seconded by Dr. Mackey that the Board of Education move into closed session in order to discuss I) The appointment, employment, compensation, discipline, performance, or dismissal of specific employees, specific individuals who serve as independent contractors in a park, recreational, or educational setting, or specific volunteers of the public body or legal counsel for the public body,” the motion recorded in the public minutes said. On roll call the board recorded seven ayes and no nays; the board entered closed session at approximately 8:28 a.m.

The board returned to open session with the same members present at approximately 11:45 a.m. The published minutes and the transcript do not record any public votes or formal actions taken after the closed-session return, and no personnel decisions or names were disclosed in the public record. The meeting then adjourned at about 11:45 a.m.
