Board approves QNS technology agreement and formalizes Technology Coordinator role

At the Jan. 24 retreat the board voted to approve a technology agreement with QNS and to approve the Technology Coordinator job description and pay scale.

Jaymie Nunnery moved and Ryan Burge seconded approval of the agreement with QNS; the motion carried on a unanimous roll call. Separately, Brian Blok moved and Matt Flanigan seconded approval of the Technology Coordinator job description and pay scale; that motion also passed unanimously. The board had earlier approved hiring Terry Knowles as Technology Coordinator at Step 7 on the 2025–2026 Technology Coordinator Salary Schedule.

Board members discussed technology needs in the context of a planned Skyward upgrade and a forthcoming renewal of the district’s technology contract. The adoption of a formal Technology Coordinator position aligns with the district's stated priorities to manage the Skyward migration and ongoing technology training for staff.
