DOT screens 11 bridges; staff urge clearer federal-to-local funding paths

Staff explained that the state receives federal allocations and then determines distribution to locals; one staff member said the current federal transportation bill "does not require any of that to be shared with locals," noteing ongoing advocacy by national associations to create local-directed buckets in reauthorization language.
