Committee sets Aug. 24 special meeting, asks for budget materials in advance

The McHenry County Public Health & Community Services Committee confirmed a special meeting on Aug. 24 at 08:30 to receive detailed budget presentations for the health department and workforce network and asked staff to distribute departmental presentations in advance when available.

A county staff member described a new practice of attaching departmental presentations to the meeting portal so members and the public can review slides after meetings. "We're gonna be attaching the departmental presentations to the meeting portal," the staff member said, and committee members urged getting presentations to members ahead of time when possible so they have time to review the materials before the meeting.

Members expressed a preference for more detailed materials to accompany committee recommendations sent to the full board so that concerns and caveats from committee review are visible in full‑board materials. The committee adjourned after confirming the special meeting date and requesting that staff provide detailed budget information as soon as it is available.
