Council approves multiple budget amendments and grant acceptances, including funds for libraries and police evidence freezers

On July 29 the Spokane City Council approved a slate of mid‑biennial budget ordinances and grant acceptances, including funds from the Administrative Office of the Courts to support community justice services, Department of Commerce CHIP funding for utility improvements tied to affordable housing, an Idaho Office of Emergency Management grant for hazmat response services, and a Department of Justice grant to buy two evidence freezers for the Spokane Police Department.
