Resident asks commissioners to move meetings to evening hours so more can attend

Jacob Dom, attending his first Clermont County Board meeting, urged the board to reschedule regular meetings to later hours so more working residents could participate in public comment without using paid time off. “I just wanna ask you all to move the meeting to a time that's more agreeable to the interest of the public ... like, 5, 6, or 7,” Dom said, arguing that a 10 a.m. meeting time prevents many people from attending.

Dom signed the public-participation sheet at the board's request and left the message for commissioners to consider as they set future meeting schedules. The chair acknowledged Dom's comment and moved on; there was no formal motion that evening to change meeting times.
