Legislature amends capital program for Forest Home Drive; Pine Tree Road project completes under budget

The legislature then considered a budget adjustment to transfer funds from the highway fund balance and amend the capital program to cover final costs for the reconstruction of Forest Home Drive (ID 6856). Committee discussion clarified that the amendment is a final "true up" to reflect actual costs and move money from the highway fund balance into the capital account to close out a 2016 project.

Legislators asked for detail on why final adjustments were happening now; staff said large projects require formal closeout and audit steps. The short-form roll-call for the amendment passed unanimously.
