Legislature approves housing program continuations, CDBG acceptance and homeownership program contract with INHS (one abstention recorded)

Members voted on several planning and housing items brought forward from committee.

Resolutions moved included an amendment to increase disbursement for the 210 Hancock Street project (document ID 6901), a resolution to continue the Tompkins County homeownership program using program income and to contract with INHS (document ID 6042), and acceptance of a New York State Community Development Block Grant homeownership award (document ID 6061). The motions were moved and seconded in committee and brought to the floor; votes proceeded with one legislator saying she must recuse herself and an abstention recorded during the floor votes.

Committee members noted the items had been vetted at planning committee and that the homeownership contract would be with INHS (referred to in the packet by abbreviation). The legislature approved the consent agenda containing these items.
