Redington Shores reviews six bids for building services; Indian Shores has signaled interest but no proposal yet

Town staff told the Commission that six bids were received for building-department services and that four firms were deemed qualified; three bidders included a fee option based on a percentage of permit fees. The bid documents were posted to the town website and DemandStar and were opened publicly on July 22. Deputy Clerk Melissa Fultz assisted with the public opening.

Carey and Town Attorney Robert Eschenfelder reported that Indian Shores has indicated interest in providing building-department services under an interlocal agreement but has not yet submitted a formal proposal; packet materials noted that Indian Shores "has no interest in taking on additional towns (Redington Beach)" if certain conditions apply. The Commission directed Manager Carey to reach out to Indian Shores for a written proposal and to continue evaluating the qualified bids.
