Commissioners flag multiple boat-landing repairs; town to request fixes

John Steber, Chairperson, led the Boat Landing Committee report and presented photos showing damage at several district landings. He said the asphalt approach at Isle of Pine needs patching to remove a 4-inch drop and pointed out the South Shore cash collection box is leaning after reconstruction work; Jeff McKinney said he will file repair requests with the Town of Elcho.

On West Shore, Steber described recurring winter ice movement that has separated the first three concrete planks and left a 14-inch gap between the second and third planks. He noted prior repairs in 2023 cost $2,500 and said a full rebuild would likely cost about $20,000; Steber said he will contact Shane Krueger of Krueger & Stienfest for timing and cost estimates for future maintenance.
