The board received the 1st interim financial report for the 2025–26 fiscal year covering July 1–Oct. 31 and approved the report with a positive certification.
District staff said current enrollment stands at 1,115 students (the highest in 15 years) with average daily attendance around 1,089 and a target average attendance of 95 percent. The presentation outlined three certification levels (positive, qualified, negative) and recommended a positive certification for the district. Staff projected LCFF revenue at about $16 million for the year and noted a combined increase in funding sources (LCFF plus new state grants and carryovers) that improves the district's revenue outlook. Multi-year projections showed a fund balance of approximately $8.6 million under conservative enrollment assumptions; staff will present updates to the 2nd interim in March as state budget details evolve.
Board members thanked staff for conservative projections and asked follow-up questions about the enrollment assumptions used in multi-year projections. The board then voted to approve the 1st interim report with a positive certification.
