During the Select Board 's public forum, a resident who works at the Bath Food Bank described how the pantry handles perishable produce and public access.
The speaker explained that the Bath Food Bank is a "non‑qualifying" pantry for produce: visitors share their name and town and may take perishable produce during an outdoor "produce tent" period without income documentation. The pantry’s operating hours were listed as Tuesday noon–1:30 p.m., Tuesday night 4–6 p.m., and Thursday 12–2 p.m. "We just need your name, what town you're in, show us an ID," the speaker told the board, encouraging residents to use the service.
Board members thanked the speaker and noted that the town would share details so more residents know the schedule and that a farmer sometimes collects leftover produce for redistribution when appropriate.
